Bernhard ensures that fresh fish from Lake Wolfgang is available in the Fürberg kitchen. White fish, char, lake trout and pike - whatever Bernhard Ebner catches goes straight into the kitchen. Today, Fürberg only fishes for its own restaurant requirements.

Bernhard Ebner and lake Wolfgangsee - they simply belong together. So don’t be surprised if you see him early in the morning in the summer, shipping out onto the lake with the traditional “Traunderl”. For over fifty years, the lake has been Bernhard Ebner’s seasonal workplace. From May to October, as long as the restaurant is open, he is out almost every day, casting his nets and ensuring that there is fresh fish from lake Wolfgangsee in the Fuerberg kitchen.
